Is your golf course open with the COVID-19 Pandemic?  We are a club in Northern Michigan with a May 1st opening day and trying to figure out what to do.  The State of Michigan has all ready shut most everything down including restaurants and bars but golf courses have been spared (so far).  I am interested in your thoughts and what safety/sanitation practices you are performing.

    Thanks

We removed all ball washers and drink stations years ago. They would be removed today if we had them now.
We have removed all bunker rakes.
We have set a cups 1/2' above putting surface and are asking golfers do not touch the flag or step on the cup.
Note: Edited here. We got word a superintendent set the cup upside down into the green about 1/2 below the surface and we have done so as well. Works great one still does not have to touch the flag.

We clean the cart key upon return the sanitize the cart surfaces.
    Golf. The new Non-contact sport!
We are creating a sanitizer dip bucket for range buckets, balls washed as usual.
Batting helmets are in storage. Bats are issued to customers and cleaned after use.
Mini-golf putters cleaned after use along with those balls.
    Footgolf balls cleaned after rental.
Fitness center is cleaned and cleaned again.

We are currently open and what we plan today, may change tomorrow here near Dayton, Ohio. Dining is closed but kitchen open for carryout, curbside, or delivery within 5 miles. Pro shop is open.
Cart staff is to clean and sanitize cart after every round.
Limiting to only 1 person per golf cart.
Not allowing members clubs in the clubhouse.
No bunker rakes being put out
No ball washers being put out
Looking for alternate covered trash cans from mesh cans that we can put trash bags into to reduce having our staff have to pick cans up and dump them into trash bags
We are debating on cups with the same option Kevin mentioned about raising the cup above the surface or flipping cup over
After crew washes and puts equipment away they will wipe of steering wheel and controls with disinfectant and possibly make them wear gloves
Club may institute checking employee temperatures before starting work

These are just to start...things may change by tomorrow.

Good luck to all and be safe!

My major concern now is will a skeleton crew be allowed to travel to the course for MINIMAL maintenance? Mine will be me. We are discussing taking HOC on everything up if a total Shelter in Place is issued.
GSCAA can someone get some sort sort of press release ready for this?

    Thoughts?

I FOUND IT ON THE WEBSITE THANKS.
