Whats going on with this new Format? I doubt I'm the only one frustrated.

Incredibly bad. The new format is clunky, user unfriendly, does not navigate well, and the list goes on. Whatever prompted the change could not have been remotely as bad as the new format. Junk...

Corey, glad you posted this. I thought my computer was the issue. Don't like this format at all. Seems like items even overlap in some places. Just old and set in my ways I guess.

Sorry that you are having a bad experience on GCSAA.org.  If you are talking about the site looking old and poorly formatted, it is most likely because your browser has lost the web site's style sheet.  You will usually see a difference if you use a different browser or clean out your browser cache.

To clean your browser cache, you can hit Ctrl+Shift+Delete or go to your browser setting.  Once you have cleaned your browser's temporary files, close all of the browser tabs, completely close the browser, and then reopen it.  You should see a refreshed website.

Here is a resource on how to clean all major browser caches:

Went thru the reset per your recommendations. Nothing has changed. Still clunky. Continue to get 404 error messages...

I have to ask, what was the reason for the change?

I went from Chrome to Firefox and the results are the same. Crappy Format/ The Home Page is even Funky.

Bad design, back to the previous format. With my tablet I now have to use the mobile menu!

    Thanks, Ian, for those details.

I know it can be tough to use new software but I also know that this change was needed to help us make changes and continue to have forums on the site.

Members - please help us by providing constructive feedback so we can work to deliver a positive experience. Thanks.

I have logged on approximately 8 times since the new format was launched. Initially the entire forum format was odd. The best way to describe it is - random. I then went thru cleaning the cache and emptying browsing history, etc. Now that the cleaning process is complete I can say the best features I have discovered, thus far, are I am not required to open multiple windows to get to the forum page and the attach files feature. The cons are; generic appearance - almost antiseptic-like, I cannot "mark forums as read", and the  forum page exceeds the border of my screen.

Lisa, you mentioned the change was needed to "help make changes and continue to have forums on the website." Perhaps you or someone else can enlighten us to the reasons for the change and the benefits that we are not aware of.

Also followed the instructions provided by Ian and it seems to have fixed most of the problems I was experiencing with overlap, etc. I'm sure I will get more comfortable with the new format over time. Thanks.

    Well,

    That's better.

It does look like we have to redo our profiles?  Also it looks like we can't preview a post? At least spellcheck works.

One thing I noticed was after reading a few posts under a thread, there is no mechanism to go back out to the overall topic?  I know a thread with a lot of post would be real clunky to scroll back to the top to get out of that thread and go read another.  Unless I've missed something?  (hopefully I've explained the issue well enough?)

    Thanks!
