I read that frequent rolling can reduce moss on putting greens.
    Has anyone tried this?

I had this post in the wrong section.
Has anyone had moss reduction on their greens when they increased their rolling?

When I worked in NY we had a pretty bad moss problem and we rolled 6-7 days per week. Didn't seem to help us. Spiking and quicksilver were the best options we had.

We started using Quicksilver on our greens last season. Worked well. Rolling was also done but did not seem to help the issue prior to using chemical treatment!

Thank you, I've used Quicksilver but have to be careful because I have Velvet Greens and Velvet is senisitive to everything.

Have you tried using Zerotol for moss control. I was very successful with it when I was in Northern California.

Yes, and it almost killed my greens.

The only way rolling will help with moss control is if it enables you to raise mowing heights while maintaining ball roll and speed. For true moss control, you need to address the issues that favor moss. Chemical controls are only a band-aid (although quicksilver is an effective band-aid and one I use myself).
