After dealing with an outdated BlackBerry for the last two years, I'm finally receiving an updated phone in form of an iPhone. What are the good apps people are using out there to assist us in our jobs?

sun seeker - shows the suns path on any day of the year from wherever you are standing
turf management calculator - punch in numbers to calculate rates, sprayer calibration, top dressing amounts, costs associated with mowing, etc...

these are the ones I have and I use them all the time

I also just got the upgrade from a blackberry to an iphone and I'm looking for an app that will let me calculate a given area, say for sod calculations or to determine the sq footage of a green or fairway. Does any one know of the app that can help with this?

Clinometer. Use it on greens to measure slope. Helps reading putts!

yelloe pages app. it will let you search a phone number from whereever you are at.

    Notes app

    Reminder App

istethpro - turns your phone into a stethescope so you can hear a persons heart beat - I have used it on myself and hope I never have to use it on a golfer but it will be handy if needed

Zip finder - if you travel this is great to find the local zipcode

ihandy level - this is my favorite app - I use it to check the level on things we may be building or even hanging pictures

homedepot - this comes in handy if you shop home depot just open the app and scan the product to fine the price

find iphone - if you phone gets stolen or lost you can use another iphone to locate yours

appbox pro - lots of handy apps in one place

    golf gps

    who's your caddy

A little tip on your phone - every now and then you need to double click the home button (round button on face) and close out your apps. any apps used stay open until you close them so shutting off the phone will not do this for you. once you double click the home button you need to hold your finger on one app until the crosses appear and then tap the cross to close the app. if you do not close your apps your battery power will drain faster.

    Cooper,

I think everyone has helped on the work-assist side... on the other side, I'd suggest SoundHound for knowing what song is playing on the radio (you can even speak the lyrics and it'll tell you what song it is...)... pretty cool!!

Apps all I use is local weather stations and Pandora. I have Rainbird MI software on my phone so between irrigating and seeing if it is going to rain that's about it.

Not a app but get a Life proof case. It will save your phone if you plan on using it on the course.
