Back up battery/Surge Protectors Cancel The title field is required!

   How long should backup battery/surge protectors last? Is there a way to test them to see if they still offer that surge protection? I've noticed mine seems to be going through backup batteries a lot lately.
   
   I've had the same unit since spring of 2005, but me being so cheap...

   I did go back and look up when I purchased the last backup battery, it was January of 2018, I guess that's not bad?
