My wife and I are going to be in the Palm Springs area December 31-January 7 for some golf and sun.
Theres lots of golf to choose from and friends tell me its hard to go wrong with any course we choose.

    Any must plays?

Looking for dining/drinking(beer, wine) suggestions in the area?

    Thanks for the suggestions.

My only experience has been many of the GCSAA tournament courses and I would suggest all of them. Desert Willow was really good as are most in the area. Norman, Stadium, and Nicklaus Tournament at PGA West. Palmer Private is fun and not too hard if you can get on there. (The course owner of a Supt. friend was a member there so he got us on). The Mountain Course at La Quinta was fun with a few holes tucked up against the mountain. Indiana Wells resort has a fun putting course along with 2 really nice layouts, lots of flowers. The Dye course at Mission Hills is very hard if your drives aren't on line.
