I was wondering if anyone has use a one ton roller to smooth out push-up style greens.. We have a 6-8" sand cap and I feel like it shouldn't be a problem but curious if anyone has tried and what the results were like? Worth doing? Long term effects? TIA

I have used a 1.5 ton vibratory roller on mine years ago. it works great but what are you trying to accomplish by using it? is your greens in bad shape or just bumpy? Reason I ask is that rolling does a great job but it only last for a short time before your mowers are leaving new tire indentations on them. getting them right and then speed rolling may be a great option if you have one.

If you rent one make sure it does not drip oil.
