Well, it has all begun. What does everyone feel about their good old college favorites and NFL teams. Early NFL tells me that Seattle, San Francisco and Minnesota look pretty good in the NFC and in the AFC Denver, Cincy, and not sure who else really looked good. Hoping my Chargers do tonight but Arizona is no push over. May be a long year for New England, Dallas and a few others that struggled in the initial game. College, the usuals are good but my Aztecs gave one away to North Carolina and it looks like a long season for Ohio State and Michigan. SC may be back, Oregon looked solid so maybe another week will give us some indication of how things will look. Thank goodness football is back.

    GREETINGS:

I am in an elimination pool. There are about 125 of us in it. I took Chicago over Buffalo, no points involved and as you know, Chicago lost. Needless to say, I was ticked off. I did not watch any game after that and I refuse to watch two games tonight.

Right now - I HATE FOOTBALL.

That's worse than having Ray Rice on your fantasy team.

Well my Chargers look just like previous years! Make crucial mistakes on offense just when it counts the most and fail to hold on to a lead on the defensive side. Giants look like they may stink so hard to determine the Lions. May take a few games to determine any trends but i do know my Chargers will be 0-2 with Seattle next. Yes, my Padres are long gone again! Hardly paid attention to baseball this year other than keeping track of the Angels a little.

Baseball season ends the moment football begins.

For once this late in the season there is a reason to watch my Kansas City Royals besides hoping that Yost was getting a pink slip. (the only downside of this playoff run is we will be stuck with Yost for another season, maybe he will get picked up for one of the openings in the off season as they will think he is a great manager?)

Of course I also make time to watch my Seminoles march toward another title. They might need to cut out the crab legs on the training table, they look a little slow, or maybe deliberate is more like it?

    Corey,
Your Raiders will be either the San Antonio Raiders or the LA Raiders. Raider Nation will have another chance for the overall #1 pick next year.

Boy was I wrong on the pros this week. I was wrong on the Charger upset, the Vikings, New Orleans, Miami, San Francisco and Detroit. If I was a betting man like our good past friend David, I would be broke! Chargers could prove to be a contender if they remember to play that way every week!
