I am a Buckeye fan so I am glad tOSU Buckeyes will be there. Big 12 blew themselves up by not declaring a champion and not having a championship game. Now with four teams left it will be a great Jan 1st. I think it will be Ducks and Bucks playing for the Championship. I know most think Bama will run over tOSU but I would take the 9.5 points and the Buckeyes against any team in the nation.

It won't be the Ducks, the Noles have the speed to stop them.

After seeing Ohio State dismantle both Michigan State and Wisconsin, I do give them a good chance to beat Alabama.

Who cares about the playoffs??? My Vols made it to a bowl! A January bowl no less! Whoo!!!
On a side note for those that care about playoffs....Bama will prevail.

"Not so fast" The Ducks will run all over the Noles. They may have the size advantage but the Ducks have the speed and agility in their smaller offense to get past those big, slow defenders. It will be the year the West Coast rolls the Tide to take it all. On a different note, how bout' those Boise State Broncos making it into the Fiesta Bowl once again...

Eventually, there will be an 8 team playoff, possibly even the top 16. But, with Conference championships, the teams ranked 9 - 16 had a chance and didn't make it to the top 8.

8 teams is perfect and fits in with the major bowls - Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Cotton and ?. Those bowls will rotate each year for the semifinals. The Championship game will be held somewhere different each year like the Super Bowl.

    Basically - 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6 and 4 v 5 in the 1st round of bowls on Christmas weekend.

The semifinals on News Years Day and the Championship game 10 days later.

Oregon over Alabama in the Championship.

I like the idea of 8 teams but the high four seeds holding a home game in the first round.

I think it will be the Ducks losing to tOSU Bucks. But I am a homer all the way. I actually did no think the Buckeyes would even be in this position so I am happy no matter what.
