    To all,

Sorry for the delay in posting this but seems like there is never enough time. While I know this information was shared within our local chapter I know many others across the country would like to know this news as well.

Myrtle Wagoner, wife of GCSAA Past-President Clifford Wagoner passed away on July 11th in Modesto, California at the age of 95. She and Cliff had been married for 75 years and 8 months. As GCSANC members we were fortunate to have Myrtle serve as our Chapter Manager for over 30 years before her retirement in 1989. She and Cliff each attended over 50 GCSAA Conferences and were still involved in our local chapter until about ten years ago. She knew everyone by name and always had a smile to share. This couple was truly a shining example of staying involved with a local chapter in a way that we all should admire. Attached is a short article I wrote about her for our chapter newsletter many years ago.

I was fortunate to able to consider her and Cliff great friends and hope you will keep Cliff and his family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months.

    Gary,

Thanks for the posting on Myrtle's passing. They are both special people and as you said attended many GCSAA Conferences, 54 in fact. Cliff was President in 1973 and until just a few years ago stayed active in what was taking place with GCSAA and GCSANC. Myrtle was present at every event Cliff was at. Her presence was made more special by the fact that at times she knew more than Cliff. She will be missed by many.
