Our equipment tech needs to replace the bearings on Toro DPA reels.  Newer units so first bad bearings we have had to do on this model cutting unit.  Tips and or special tools needed?  Not seeing anything after extensive web search.

Searched youtube, Google, etc for Toro dpa reel bearing replacement.  1 video on installation but it was pretty weak.
Would you have any links to try?  Thank you.

toro service manual shows how to do this. they are easy to do. The side plates come off the end of the reels you may have to tap on side covers with a soft mallet do to corrosion but they won't be to bad. the bearings will most likely stay on the reel shaft. I use a slide hammer style puller on the bearings to get them off. Good luck.

Thanks.  Figured that.  New units so easy to disassemble.  This is the first bad bearing on our new fleet with DPA units.  Our tech had one side off before I returned from the GCSAA show yesterday.  There was a threaded piece with a flange that he removed then removed the bad bearing.  We think the splined end might be similar and we need to order a special tool to spin it out.  We see a tool that looks like it might be splined in the parts list but no specifics as to if this is what it is for.  I will order it and see.

    Robert,

Thank you.  Broke down the link to comlcustpartserv.toro.com and found the page with multiple videos.  There were 2 that we needed.  Now, if they had spanish translation for those of us with spanish speaking equipment techs.  Maybe they do and I haven't found it yet.  Wish there was a link to those on the My Turf site.  Maybe there is and I haven't found it.
