    Thanks for that Scott.

I actually lasted 0:48 of the 3:36 video, which is longer than I could put up with Obama's Labor Day campaign speech you posted last week.

I did try, for as long as I could, to watch them both.

Red, my case just like your case is personal. It is between God and me. God has made his presence perfectly apparent to me. I pray that He does the same for you and Keith and Steve and everyone else who are not Christians reading this. I am not assuming a righteous position relative to you or anyone else, I am taking a head bowed respectful position to my Heavenly Father that he will bring you home with me.

Scotty, I'm sure you are a well intentioned nice guy but I don't want to "go home with you" Maybe my standards are set too high but for now, or at least until desperation inspires a different route, I will respectfully decline and stick with what has never really worked that well...the opposite gender.

Redneck Billy............not sure Scott was referrring to 'come home with him' in the literal sense. I am sure he is a redblooded guy that enjoys the opposite gender as well.

Don't pray for me. It's sanctimonious and condesending and I find it highly offensive. My suggestion to you would be to keep your mythology at home and leave me out of it.

Eating chocolate will give you the same feeling Scott. An atheist belief just extends one god farther than you.

Scotty, you should post that Wylie Coyote video. That was really funny, in a bent self deprecating Christian humour sort of way. I saw where it was going from the start but it still made me laugh

I sometimes wonder if Mark Twain is on the bar-b right now.

[quote">I cannot see how eternal punishment hereafter could accomplish any good end, therefore I am not able to believe in it. To chasten a man in order to perfect him might be reasonable enough; to annihilate him when he shall have proved himself incapable of reaching perfection might be reasonable enough; but to roast him forever for the mere satisfaction of seeing him roast would not be reasonable... even the atrocious God imagined by the Jews would tire of the spectacle eventually.

There may be a hereafter and there may not be. I am wholly indifferent about it. If I am appointed to live again I feel sure it will be for some more sane and useful purpose than to flounder about for ages in a lake of fire and brimstone for having violated a confusion of ill-defined and contradictory rules said (but not evidenced) to be of divine institution. If annihilation is to follow death, I shall not be aware of the annihilation and therefore shall not care a straw about it.

Welcome to the new regional posts. There is a lot happening here in the Great Lakes Region. Use this area to make a post about issues you are facing, topics of interest or when looking for information from other superintendents or myself. I look forward to your posts and I will see you soon at a local chapter event.

Hey Bud! I hope this forum gets used quite a bit! I stopped posting on the GCSAA forums for the simple fact that I would post a serious question, have 100+ views, but zero responses..... Enjoying our first little taste of winter in Meadville.
