I just filled out the GCSAA survey and commented that we could use more assistance from the GCSAA Internationally as I and many other long time members have been working out of the US for 20 years plus. So now looks like we have a forum here on the website to discuss issues.

Well done to the GCSAA as the industry is growing world-wide and GCSAA education should be a part of that growth as you are the opinion leaders in the world of golf course maintenance education.

I would hope that they would post a staff member in each major region with a critical mass of golf courses.

    Any comments are welcome.

    Hi Marcos,

Pardon the long delay in response. Today I am in India at Royal Calcutta Golf Club standing in here while our Superintendent is on holiday. I have worked and been based in Thailand for the past 25 years and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and am now sort of scaling back on travels so just India and Thailand.

How is golf course maintenance in St. Croix, are there many golf courses there ?

I now see at the GCSAA has added Mexcio as a chapter at the recent meeting in Queretaro I spent 2014-2017 down in Mexico working (outside of Queretaro)but didn't keep my GCSAA membership as I didn't think I had any options since I was there. I know there are several guys/gals working down in the country and I hope this addition can help guys (like me) not lose any years as members. I probably could have researched it more but you know how busy things get, so it's my fault. Glad to be back in the USA now.

    Jamie
