I suddenly lost a Mechanic/Equipment tech. I welcome any ideas for finding another experienced person in my area. I've put the word out to numerous sales rep.s, but does anyone have good online resources for posting or seeking golf mechanics?

    Thanks!

    Kenneth,

You can post your open position on the GCSAA Job Board here on the gcsaa.org website. From the home page, click on the JOBS tab, then Job Board. We'd be glad to walk you through the process if you'd like. You can contact Stephanie Confer at sconfer@gcsaa.org, or call 800-472-7878. Additionally, GCSAA has a local Field Staff representative in California, Jeff Jensen, that might be able to assist you. He can be reached at jjensen@gcsaa.org.

Best of luck in your search.
    Regards,
    Shari Koehler

    Good afternoon Ken,

I might know someone who has some interest and might want to talk with you. I'll be back in California tomorrow and I'll try and get in touch with him to see if he wants to come up that way to discuss it.

    Ken

I got a couple of great mechanics from Equipment Rental Company's. Advertised in the paper. Believe it or not they pay less than we do.

Some might not like this response, but... tell the regular vendors that come by. If you have something above average to offer you should be able to steal a good one from a neighbor. Sorry if this offends, but to me the mechanic is more important than an assistant and there's nothing wrong with making someone you need a better offer.

A good mechanic can learn about reels. Look outside of the normal turf mechanic.

This should be under the "I need help and I need it 10 months from Now!" forum.
