Is there still a job board at GIS and will any jobs listed be listed at the same time on the website?

    Thanks,

    Mel

I did not see one and assume with most members having Internet access there is no reason to have one. I do remember in the old days guys would wait for weeks to post jobs so they could be shown at the show.

Ok guys, help me out with this one. What do you mean a job board at GIS? Have to admit that I am relatively new around here and this was my first Show. Do you mean something like our current jobs posted on something similar to our twitter/flickr wall? Or do you mean printed on poster board? Or up on the GIS website?

Or would this be more GIS related as opposed to GCSAA related?

    Thanks,
    Chad

    Chad,

It was like a wall with jobs posted on it, I attended a show in 2004 and I thought I looked at it, didn't go to another show until last year and don't remember seeing one, but wasn't looking hard, (not that I am now either, but it is always good to look, so I have been told).

When the website was young and even before, jobs posted at the show, gave those at the show an advantage, then when the website improved they were able to actually list jobs on the website job board about the same time it was being posted on the wall at the show.

Hope that helps, of course I understand everything I'm saying and like you mentioned this being your first show, and if there was no job board at the show, you wouldn't have a clue of what I'm talking about.

    Thanks, Mel
