I don't think it's right that when someone quotes me by clicking the quote button, then clicks spellcheck when he's done responding to my ramblings, that him clicking spellcheck also goes through my stuff and corrects my spelling. That shouldn't be allowed, if you ask me. Maybe I wanted to misspell something on pourpose.

Anything we can do about that feechur?

    Thanks

    No.

See? There you go. Somebody quotes my stuff, and then, to make sure he spelled No corrctly, hits spellcheck. It corrected all my msitakes because he wasn't certain how to spell No.

    That just aint right.

I'm done quoting him, whoever he is.

So, my question remains to staff: how come a guy can quote what I wrote and then be able to change my spelling? That's not what I wrote, so nobody should be able to change it.
If you're going to quote me, then quote me. Don't change it to what you think I meant.

You can't really argue with that, can you?

    Peter,

Currently the spell check feature doesn't see any difference between quoted material and your comment. In order to move away from the current behavior we would need to alter the spell check add-on. There is currently no option to prevent editing from happening in the quoted area, including during the spell check process and no plans have been made to include that feature.

    Thanks,
    Chad

I have no problem someone quoting me and changing what I said. Most forums on the web; ie: ign allow the same. Sit back and laugh, no reason to get hot headed about such a childish thing.

What an odd thread. Four years later it's even more so. But Jeffy was in it so what should we expect.
