We are looking to replace the sand in our range bunkers with an alternative material other than sand. We are looking to do this, because like most course our range is heavily used right from the get go in the morning and we normally only have time to rake those bunkers on our closed day. We have looked inot crushed white granite, but some feel it could damge range balls and send tehm bouncing long distances. Has anyone done anything like this at your facilities?

    White artificial turf.

I wouldn't think the crushed granite or the concrete screenings would damage the balls any more than the sand would.

Limestone screenings. Worked great for us.
