I see posts deleted for saying things or posting pictures that are against the GCSAA Forum Policies. Where can those policies be found?

I posted a picture that can be found in virtually every high school American History Textbook, and it was pulled down for being against the policy. I was told that I should not post anything I would not want my boss to see. I did not say anything, but I am pretty sure he had seen it already. ;)

They arbitrarily delete posts of pictures and words that you can see and hear on TV. I understand there has to be a standard, but there needs to be an explanation to accompany the deletion. They uphold a mystery standard that is higher than what they most likely hold themselves to in their own work environment.

Many moons ago I was the president of a statewide professional association. Relatively recently the executive committee called for a teleconference of past presidents, "because we are always asking questions." It turns out that the executive committee had jammed a bad decision down the executive director's (paid employee's) throat and it put the association significantly into the red. I had been asking for financials for over a decade. They were always promised to me, but never came through. When I asked about this the current president told me I was not "entitled" to them. (I kept my mouth shut. I can afford the opinion of an attorney.)

I write that to say, "Whose forum is this?" Is it the golf course superintendents' forum, the staff's forum or the BOD's forum? There should be a very specific set of rules and removal of posts should be able to be appealed.

    Hi Daniel,

Here's a link to the forum policies -- they're tied to the registration process when you sign up for members only access to the site:

Also, here's a previous item addressing what staff looks for when checking in on the forums. I hope it provides some guidance in answering your question. If we can help answer any further questions, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Sharmion
