I have a different question, how many members actually tell their voting delegate who to vote for? What chapters boards decide to select candidates without getting members inputs? I will say our chapter will vote for who a member wants, if we let our voting delegate know, but most of the selection lies with the voting delegate who might not always be the chapter delegate for our chapter.
I would be curious how other chapters operate, and I would think the candidates probably would too, although I wonder those who have been through multiple elections learn how chapters decided on their choice?

The Midwest Chapter (Chicago) our delegate gives us an update at our annual meeting in December, then gives us a further update and open floor to determine our chapter vote in January. Those two meetings are the 2 best attended, January one is also our Wee One fundraiser silent auction so has a great turn out as well.
Thanks Andrew,
Does a majority rule to determine that vote? Looking at your voting for directors for example, you have a total of 568 votes which is your chapter's total number of votes, I noticed for example your chapter gave 284 votes to one candidate, and 142 votes to 2 other candidates, how was that determined at your meeting? Wondering if we did something like that at our annual meeting and follow up, how we might determine someone's desire to vote for a certain candidate? Like I mentioned, if someone has approached our voting delegate, we have voted that member's desire in the past.
I applaud your chapter's continued open update and debate to pick how your votes are cast.
It was interesting to see how some chapters seemed to split their votes among all 5 director candidates, while one chapter gave all their director vote totals to one candidate. I wonder how they determine that?
I guess the presidential election has me turned off and I'm trying to get my political fix here?
Thanks!
