Greetings;
I am three months late but I would like to thank Tournament Director Jim Cummins and Jessica Thompson and all others involved with the planning and execution of all the activities in Orlando. The weather was fabulous and the Ritz Carlton was a beautiful place to stay.
Ship Sticks were great people to do business with. My clubs landed at The Grand Lakes Golf Course and it only took a few minutes for the shuttle from the Ritz to the golf course to pick up the clubs.
My wife Joan and I checked in the hotel and the staff were extremely friendly and the room gorgeous. I have stayed in some beautiful hotels and I will have to rank the Ritz right up with the best of them. I usually get a suite but I never checked the price at this hotel. The pro shop at tournament headquarters was fantastic and Joan bought me two golf shirts and a hat and she purchased some sort of jacket with the GCSAA label on it for herself.
The food and drink were plentiful after the golf and there were lots of drink tickets floating around. The place was just fabulous and we had a great time. Thanks again GCSAA -- Oh one problem i had with all the golf courses - after my tee shot I was still 30 to 40 yards short of the barber poles in the middle of the fairway and that meant another 180 or 190 yards to the green!!! Put those markers up next year for us old guys...
