Unfortunately I've just been told I have to comply to a noise ordinance that does not allow for any landscaping to be done between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and none on Sundays.  Just wondering if anyone has had to deal with this and what did they do with their crew did they split the crew they work only nights I'm just trying to come up with ideas...  Hopefully this is short-lived and the city will approve our appeal but this has some potential being of being long-term.   Thanks for any help!

    Good morning Kyle,

I don't recall your exact facility type at this point but when I used to work at the city we were exempted from the local noise ordinance because of a clause that stated "preparing a public facility for public use" was exempt. Really didn't affect our 18 hole course because it was surrounded by office space and an air base but our 9 hole course was in a low area surrounded by homes. We used an electric greens mower there and tried to be as quiet as possible in the early morning hours. Didn't have too many issues although I did have a guy block in the West Coast Turf sod delivery truck one morning at 5:00AM. Pretty tough to prep a golf course for play if you can't work before 7 on weekdays and 9 on weekends. Good luck getting a resolution as quickly as possible.
