We are looking to replace our outdated POS system later this fall and have been kicking around the idea of a self check in kiosk type of system. Does anyone have this type of self check in at your course? If so could you please share what system you are utilizing and roughly the cost behind it. We are trying to be as forward thinking as possible and it seems like most industries that provide a service of some sort have a self check in. We are looking for the basic stuff like paying for greens fees, range balls and cart rental with the expandable ability to pay for food, beverages and golf merchandise.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

We don't have a self check in at our course, but for some reason they went to iPad as the main way of ringing up customers. It still uses the cash drawer and would print receipts if one doesn't have an email. In theory I suppose during an outing they can take the iPad out and check people in who are using credit cards or have accounts. Not really what you're looking for though. Just another way for the pro shop to spend money in my opinion. I guess the old POS system was up for renewal and they were having some service related issues with the vendor I think?
