While interviewing for multiple courses,  has anyone accepted one job, started work, then get a call that you were wanted by another course?  I have a friend outside this industry,  just started one job then the company he wanted to work for called and ask him to come aboard.  I'm afraid I might end up in the same situation while interviewing for 3 courses.  All 3 are good places to be with each having their own reasons for wanting the job.  2 are taking their time with interviews/making a decision and one has already offered me the position.  But I also know that the other 2 are not guaranteed.  Most people are telling me to look out for yourself first and foremost.  Thoughts?  Advice?  Thanks.

I know a guy who was on his way driving on a Sunday afternoon to start a new job on Monday.  While on his way to the job he gets a call from another course he interviewed with, offering more money, maybe closer to his old home...something like that.  He takes the next freeway exit and heads to the second, higher paying job.  Never worked a day at the job he originally accepted.  Tough spot is right!

Not sure I would have done the same thing, but it worked out for him and the first course ended up hiring a guy who did a great job for many years.

My first Supt position I was hired at, I was in my first week of my two week notice when my boss told me another club down the street from my house wanted to talk to me that afternoon. I ended up after that talk with an interview with the whole board of directors at their club (apparently it was a board meeting). Well before I could drive the mile to get home they were already on the phone with my wife. They offered me the position and I worked they almost 25 years. It was a no brainer.
