GCSAA SCHOLARSHIPS

by Shane Conroy | Feb 24, 2023

The GCSAA Conference and Tradeshow wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. It was another first-class show, complete with networking events, promotion of the profession, a golf tournament, the largest trade show in the industry and first-class education from top to bottom.

Speaking of education, let's focus this week on a couple of scholarships available through GCSAA and our great partners to help GCSAA members offset the cost of tuition. Applications for both scholarships mentioned below are currently open.

30. GCSAA Legacy Awards presented by Syngenta, and the Par Aide Garske Grant

First up are the GCSAA Legacy Awards. The GCSAA Legacy Awards competition offers education aid to the children and grandchildren of GCSAA members. Awards of $1,500 each are funded by Syngenta and the GCSAA Foundation.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited institution of higher learning, or for high school seniors, they must have been accepted at such an institution for the next academic year. In addition, award winners are ineligible to apply the year following their award but can reapply after a one-year hiatus.

Next up are the Par Aide Garske Grants. This program is to assist GCSAA members' children in funding their education at either an accredited college or trade school. It is available to the children of GCSAA members who have been an active member for five or more consecutive years. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior and be accepted at an institution of higher learning for the upcoming year; $14,000 in scholarships will be awarded.

You can check out all the eligibility requirements for both scholarships and others here.

As always, if you’ve missed a previous post, please check them out below.
