Immediate Past President

Mark F. Jordan, CGCS, was elected GCSAA’s 85th president at the association's annual meeting on Feb. 4, 2021. A change in bylaws allowed him to serve two years as past president in 2022 and 2023.
He was first appointed to the board at the association's 2014 annual meeting in Orlando, and was elected to the board at the 2015 meeting in San Antonio.
Jordan is the Natural Resources Leader at Westfield Country Club in Westfield Center, Ohio. He assumed that position in 2007, although he has been with the club since 1988, previously serving as general manager, club manager, superintendent and assistant superintendent.
A 35-year member, he previously served as assistant superintendent at Winding Hollow Golf Club in New Albany, Ohio, and Hyde Park Golf and Country Club in Cincinnati. He is a past president of the Northern Ohio GCSA and the Ohio Turf Foundation. He is also a board member for Play Golf Ohio and Ohio Pesticide Applicators for Responsible Regulation (OPARR).
A native of Nova, Ohio, Jordan graduated from the Ohio State University – ATI in Wooster, Ohio, with an associate’s of applied science degree in turfgrass management; and the Ohio State University in Columbus with a bachelor of science degree in agronomy. Jordan and his wife, Melinda, reside in Westfield Center, Ohio, and have four children and three grandchildren.
