When viewing the job board and wanting to get to the forums from there, it can't be done. If you click on the forums, it takes you to the read only forums.

    Jon,

Thank you for mentioning it. You are correct, but it is a temporary situation. Right now, when you click on the job board, we are taking you to the old website -- but as soon as we can, we will be putting it into redesigned site. As a stand-alone application, there's quite a bit involved in making the change, so we erred on the side of caution to ensure continuous service.

At the same time, we wanted to keep the old site and forums intact for those who are looking for particular content -- for that reason, we didn't update the old site's navigation.

It's been a balancing act, and in this case, we tried to accomplish that by putting a note at the top of the read-only forums that directs you to the new ones. As we learn more about how the two areas are being used, we can make adjustments to ease that process.

Thanks again for bringing it up.

Sorry to take so long on replying to your post. We have been working on several issues here at HQ.

When you experienced this problem we were fixing some issues with our ad server. That is now complete and should no longer be affecting anyone. If you are seeing any more issues with any of our sites please let us know.

Thanks Chris, I kind of figured out you were experiencing some issues after my 3rd or 4th try at it. Anyhow thanks for the heads up!

I've become aware the Job Posting Board has had some changes. Which one of these changes is to have you create a position profile and it's used to replace the traditional resume.

So my question is how is this working out for anyone? I don't like the lack of formality of a traditional cover letter and resume. I'd like to know whom I'm contacting and their related information.

Am I wrong here? Thoughts? Maybe I'm stuck in the "old school"?

    Doug,

I agree with you on this. Old school status must be written all over us.

I think I would make contact with the applicant using this info and request a formal resume and cover letter.

Is 36 considered old school then also??? I agree with you.....I would like to know who I'm sending it to, when the application deadline is, what the position pays....but I guess all those things are a thing of the past...or old school whatever you want to call it
