An interesting read. Full disclosure, I'm a Big 10 guy and I bought into and accepted the SEC as the dominant league. I'm generally not a conspiracy person but this article brings into question the validity of the SEC, the BCS, and ESPN. I'm sure David McC is turning in his grave.

Saw that on tweeter yesterday and it was very interesting. Of course when FSU's schedule is mentioned, they have to be defended by the way they dominated teams this year.

Very interesting read. If FSU and OSU win this weekend, I wonder how the SEC will try to lobby for one of their teams to still be in the big game.

Well, OSU didn't win and my Spartans saved the world from another BCS controversy:

MSU and Stanford should be a good game. Do the Big 10 proud, Sparty.

While I dislike the Buckeyes intensely, I really can't stand Urban Meyer .....I don't like his dad, Oscar, either.

They didn't gather for Carmen Ohio? That's a carinal sin in Ohio.

Steve, you've been in FL for a while. Did Meyer leave scorched earth at U of F?

He did a great job here and led them to the top, but he left under false pretenses and a year later was at Ohio .
He's not as squeaky clean as he would have you believe. The kids that he recruited and then abandoned hate him.

    Regards,

    Steve

Did you see the Gators record this year?

I never did like him, wasn't a fan of Spurrier, but I at least respected him.

He's a lot like Saban, but he's real willing to overlook criminal behavior on the part of his players as long as he's winning. He's a hired gun and I guess we should just accept that for what it is.

Dislike him as well but he did sit his offensive tackle who flipped the bird leaving the field at Michigan. Got to give him credit for that. He said he just did not feel right allowing the kid to play after what he did. Should have not been in his hands. Big 10 should have dealt with it but it probably was better coming from the University.

Well, as far as SEC vs. the rest goes, had FSU and OSU played I believe it would have been a matchup between two teams with the softest schedules in BCS history (that came out of an SI article). Never been a believer in pre season polls at is based on reputation and last year's results only. If this was next year with the playoff, it would most likely be FSU, Auburn, Alabama, and MSU or Baylor. Irony of ironies I think the playoff will be more controversial than the BCS system since finding the best 4 teams is going to be really hard- not much separates #3-#10. For all it's critics the BCS was exciting and rarely got it wrong.

Agree with others that Urban Meyer is a dbag.

Maybe someday we'll get a football playoff that looks like the basketball playoffs?

Why can't Division 1 follow the playoff format of division 1AA, division 2 and Division 3 schools. Seams to me that, that format has worked out great for the lower divisions. Go Seminoles. Chop down the Tigers.

Did see something this morning the ACC will be sending 11 teams to the bowl games, and that's not counting next year's newcomer Louieville, of course it is counting Maryland who is leaving to improve the Big 10.

Don't think Florida state will be able to slow down Auburn for the championship. They just seem to have too much offense for anyone to slow them down.

Sandy all Auburn has is some speed in the running game, Florida State can match them with the speed. As long as the defense plays disciplined and stays in their defensive lanes, I think they can stop them better than Missouri did, also Missouri didn't sell out on the run to stop them.

Of course Auburn I don't think can stop Florida State's offense, same big receivers, faster receivers, faster running backs, the best tight end in the country. Florida had a decent defense and couldn't stop them, Duke played spirited and didn't stop them.

But of course I'm biased. Go Noles!!
