You Steeler fans shouldn't be too upset. We only needed 6 miracles, a missed field goal and a missed ref call to get to the playoffs. You needed 8 miracles and got 7 of them. What do you expect, a miracle to get you in the playoffs? What a crazy ending to a season in the NFL. Don't know if we have a chance against the Bengals at home but we did beat The Bronco's, Colts and Chiefs by keeping them off the field. I predicted 8 and 8 would be a good Charger season and we got a little extra lucky while making the playoffs. One game season now for everyone! Anything can happen.

    Sandy,
You also just beat the back ups for the Chiefs so I am not sure how far you might go.

Don't tell Baker and all those other Steelers fans that. I thought they missed the fake punt call as well, I didn't think he made the line for one, (although he could have), but he sure didn't look like he was down when the ball got stripped.

I wonder what Vegas thinks too, what was the point spread?

We had more than our share of breaks in that game. We have had some bad calls against us throughout the year so fate was just in our corner this time. We did beat the Chiefs starters a few weeks back. I don't expect it but when you think you have a strong team, they lose so maybe this year the Chargers will have more miracles and win the Super Bowl! Not sure they get beyond Sunday though to be realistic!

As a Steelers fan I say the Chargers can have the win against the Chiefs and the playoff birth. We have no business being in the playoffs especially if we depend on an obscure penalty from a game across the country to get us in. Our defense sucks. Our special teams suck. Our offensive coordinator sucks. The only bright spot on the team is the offensive players themselves. Maybe now the appropriate heads will roll in the Burgh.

Clay, we both have the same argument for our own team, no matter how it came out. Chargers may have one of the worst defensive backfields of all times. The way we win is Rivers creating long sustained drives and keeping the other team off the field. We certainly have trouble stopping any passing attack. I am happy we are in but it boiled down to luck!

Chargers!!!!! Better to back into the playoffs than to finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs again. Loved rubbing it into my longtime foreman and friend Carlos who is a life long Cowboys fan.

As a Lions fan this year turned out like most. Looked like a lock for the playoffs by mid-season and not even close after another total collapse. Seems like we have better than average talent at many positions but no discipline at all. That's coaching at it's worst or comes from drafting players that will always play that way, not sure. Hopefully they'll get a good experienced coach in there that will take control and at least get us back to the 8-8 teams Lions fans are used to!!!

Gary you can have our coach. Raider offense, defense, special teams and GM all suck but wait till next year. Oh i guess I have said that since '02. :(

    Corey,

I guess that's what happens when you are paying $50 million in salaries to players you don't even have anymore. I actually think there is hope for the Raiders because there might be a commitment from ownership and an actual desire to win again. Next year should really show where they are headed as they'll have lots of money to spend and good draft position.

In Detroit it's always been about the Ford family not wanting to spend too much as long as the fans show up. Bad part is that they still do if the team is 8-8. If only one Ford had part of a Steinbrenner gene in them they could spend with the best of them and have a chance!!

Got to love the new defense San Diego had against the Bengals. Hopefully they go all the way. 40-1 odds at the beginning of the playoffs are going to pay if the win. The Chargers game was the only blowout in the WIld Card weekend. The rest of the games were decided by 3 points or less. It was a great and sad day in San Diego sports. Chargers and Aztecs pullout huge upsets and the Padres lost announcer Jerry Coleman yesterday due to illness. RIP Jerry. "You Can Hang a Star on that Play"
