Veteran and First Responder Apprciation Cancel The title field is required!

   Hey all,
   I am wondering who offers a Veteran, Military or First Responder discount at their municipal course. Is there anyone that offers an Appreciation Day on Veteran's Day or Memorial Day? What type of discount do you do? Thanks for your input.

   Hey Erik,
   
   We are a county municipal in a small county. We have a county resident rate and an non-resident rate. For all active law enforcement, fire fighters and all active military, we offer the resident rate. All veterans play free on Veteran's Day.

   Eric, While we are not a municipal course, I want to offer that we allow San Francisco PD and FD as well as Daly City PD and FD free golf on all Mondays that we do not have an outside event. While the number of players each week is not huge, it is an offer to those that protect us the opportunity to play golf on our golf courses. Those that play are very appreciative of the offer, as we are of what they do for us. In addition, we extend that courtesy to local Clergy. I hope that others open up their courses to our first responders and clergy, as they are on the front line to much of what happens in our communities.

   Erik,
   I'm at a privately owned/public course and we have Military Mondays--Half off green fees and carts all day long.

   I think on Fridays we still offer a military discount of I believe 10%.
   
   I don't know if we have done the same thing on Veterans Day, meaning each year it might be something different.

   We offer a complimentary greens fee for Active Duty Military. It isn't really advertised all that well. But we do get a number of Active Duty personnel.

   We are a municipal enterprise fund golf course and offer free Veteran's greens fees on Veteran's day(have done it on Memorial Day in the past too) or a day around then depending on the weather in WI. We do not offer any PD or FD discounts as HR feels it would be an added benefit to them and need to be accounted for in their compensation. This policy actually goes for all City employees including golf staff.
